Position Title:  Assistant Manager (Projects)
Department:  Projects
Reports to:  GM Projects
Role Summary
Assistant Manager Projects will be responsible for providing support in overall execution & monitoring of assigned projects, including data gathering and analysis, cash flow monitoring and reporting, tax compliance, payment processing and working with project execution team members and key stakeholders according to project scope, requirements and business needs.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop & implement various standard monitoring protocols for the program rollout and implementation
  • Ensure timely delivery of Milestones and deliverables/reports to Ignite by the funded projects including assessing validity of information and indicators that contribute to timely delivery of reports (include field visits, quarterly reports, specialized surveys.)
  • Responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of funded projects.
  • Review reports and deliverables to ensure compliance and quality of submitted documents.
  • Ensure financial compliance of funded projects with all applicable policies, procedures, and
  • Effective financial management of the assigned projects portfolio to ensure timely processing of payments.
  • Custodian of financial records, the point of contact with executing agencies and other stakeholders on routine financial matters.
  • Monitoring of budget expenditure to ensure expenses of funded projects are contained within approved budgets.
  • Ensure that relevant record and monitoring information adhere to the funding requirements.
  • Preparation of cost estimates and budgets of forthcoming projects and programs of Projects department.
  • Preparation of relevant reports and analysis for presentation to relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate & manage internal & external audits of funded projects.
  • Any other task assigned by management from time to time.
Knowledge, Qualification, Skills, and Experience
Qualification and Experience

  • At least16 years of education in Project Management/Business Administration and/or
  • 14 years of education with CA-Intermediate (Articles from a reputable firm) or Member ACCA.
  • At least one year post qualification relevant experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of the entrepreneurial ecosystem will be an added advantage.

  • A team player.
