Summary

The scope of this project was to provide the green video streaming over Internet of Multimedia by developing new video encoding techniques and communication protocols with reduced ecological footprint in terms of energy consumption while maintaining video fidelity as tradeoff with the energy and carbon footprints. Many small applications about surveillance, current traffic and route management etc. were developed by IT professionals using the new video encoding techniques and communication protocols. This product also enabled fine grain monitoring using low power CMOS cameras and grafting the wireless multimedia sensor network with the Internet as part of the video streaming over Internet of Things. It eventually reduced the Carbon dioxide emissions and protected the environment.
