Ignite (Formerly National ICT R&D Fund) is organizing a workshop on “Role of ICT in Precision Agriculture and Forestry” in collaboration with Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).

Precision Agriculture and Forestry (PAF) has emerged as a vital source for modernizing farming and forest management related practices. Over the last 20 years topics including natural-resource variability, variability management, agriculture/farm technologies, profitability, environment; sensor technology, AI, robotics and controls, satellite/UAVs based remote sensing, identification of performance metrics, information management; and decision support systems have captured the attentions of the researchers worldwide.

This workshop will focus on introducing, understanding and identifying Precision Agriculture and Forestry related challenges in Pakistan.
