Qualification: The candidate must :

  1. possess a graduate degree from a well-reputed institute or such other professional qualification relating to engineering, ICT, or allied discipline, or
  2. be a member of a recognized body of professional accountants, or
  3. be a recognized businessman or professional with a postgraduate degree in business administration or public administration or finance or commerce or marketing or equivalent.
Experience: The candidate must possess demonstrated experience of not less than ten (10) years:

  1. in governance or business administration or public administration or finance or commerce or marketing or any other field commensurate to the job in significant organizations with a commercial orientation, or
  2. as chief executive or at a senior management level in similar organizations that have commercial attributes, or
  3. at senior positions in relevant professional areas; or
  4. in community or professional organizations; or
  5. at the level of member of governing body of a professional institute or as a head of department.
Required Skills Set: The candidate must have:

  • Excellent people management skills and have the ability to work with both senior academicians and top industry leaders.
  • Excellent communication skills required to interact with senior government officials, political leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience of providing vision, leading and managing multiple teams of top professionals and delivering concrete and measurable results in a demanding corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated experience of evaluating and applying emerging technologies to transform businesses and deliver sustainable competitive advantage.
  • Experience of industry/academia, research & innovation and collaboration/ commercialization would be a distinct advantage.
  • Experience in technology-based entrepreneurship or innovation or incubation or startup funding or managing startups.
