| Job Responsibilities | In order to strengthen and build the capacity of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector of Pakistan by investing in and supporting world class Research and Development (R&D) programs, the Government of Pakistan has established the Ignite (Formerly National ICT R&D Fund) Company, which is being operated as a corporate entity. Applications are sought from dynamic individuals with credentials and vision to head this organization. The position carries immense responsibility and calls for a thorough commitment to this extremely vital national goal.
Required Skill Set: Must have excellent people management skills and have the ability to work with both senior academicians and top industry leaders. Must have the communication skills required to interact with senior government officials and political leaders and other stakeholders as appropriate. Must have demonstrated experience of providing vision, leading and managing multiple teams of top notch professionals and delivering concrete and measureable results in a demanding corporate environment. Must have demonstrated experience of evaluating and applying emerging technologies to transform businesses and deliver sustainable competitive advantage. Experience of Industry/Academia, Research & Innovation and multi-stakeholder collaboration/commercialization would be a distinct advantage. |
| Qualification & Experience: | Masters degree in any ICT related discipline or Business/Management from HEC recognized University At least 15 years of professional experience with five years at a relevant senior management/decision making position |
