Smart Agriculture Advisory Services

Examples Include:

  • Instant weather forecast overlaid on crop cycles (with advisory services to Farmers in Urdu)
  • Link weather forecast, pest, and disease outbreaks (advisory services to Farmers in Urdu)
  • Assessing Soil Health using sensors to promote use of “4R’s” among Farmer

Digitized Livestock Count at Village Level

Example Includes:

  • IT-based livestock headcount for relevant Government Offices

Enhancing Market Linkages

Examples Include:

  • E-Commerce for improving livelihoods and market access by vulnerable farmers, in particular in the context of Covid 19. Farm to Market (B2B) and Farm to Home (B2C) solutions
  • Logistics – to provide farmers with an economically viable transport solution (Less than a truckload)
  • Dealer’s network for rental of tractors, farm equipment and heavy machinery
  • Create a Dealer’s network for agricultural inputs such as quality seed, fertilizer, etc

Inkind contributions include pro-bono technical assistance, technologies and services from network partners, a chance for admission to a National Incubation Center and possibility for scaling up pilot projects through support from FAO country offices.

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR Proposal

  1. Please register an account to submit your proposal.
  2. After registration, you can access the "My Dashboard" page to submit your proposal.
  3. Entries can be updated until the submission deadline – July 20, 2020.
  4. Teams will be notified if their proposed solution have been selected as a contender in the Challenge by July 29, 2020
  5. Work to transform proposed solution into a working solution from July 29, 2020 to Sept 30, 2020
  6. Submission of working solution and related video link by Sept 30, 2020
  7. Judging by the Panel Oct 5, 2020 to Oct 15, 2020
  8. Three winning teams will be notified by Oct 20, 2020
  9. Details on the awarding modalities will be given at that time keeping in view with covid19 SOP.
  10. All timelines are tentative in nature.
